Shape & Shine Cabochon Creations - October 25-26
In this two-day beginner workshop, you will take a slab of natural rock and/or semi-precious gemstones and learn to cut, shape and polish it into a beautiful stone ready to be set into a piece of jewelry (at a later date). Each student will be able to finish 2-4 stones.
No metalsmithing or gem cutting experience is necessary.

Great teacher. So relaxed and patient.
What fun! Claire gives you all the instruction you need to make beautiful cabochons. It was so much fun & much easier than I imagined to get started.
Claire was very good at teaching and being able to see where/ when we needed more information to polish our cabochons in progress.
There were plenty of machines for everyone to have their own spot and Claire provided the rough slabs.
We cut our shapes out on rock saws (which were not as scary as they sound). Then moved on to the lapidary machines to shape & polish.
The finished pieces were all lovely and ready to set for wearable jewelry.
