Torch-Fired Liquid Enamel on Copper
In this fun and colorful workshop, students will learn how to create one-of-a-kind enamel pieces using liquid from white enamel on copper. We will discuss enamel consistency, application, sgraffito designs, and try both kiln firing, and torch firing. As we explore the possibilities, we will create several sample pieces and you will see how this contemporary enameling technique allows for the unique and interesting addition of color to jewelry designs by adding extra heat.
Students will get time to practice and will leave with a finished pair of earrings and/or a pendant to wear home.

Basic metalsmithing experience is not a requirement, but can be helpful.
